View out of a window

The little things we see are always framed in some way...take for example this view outside this octagonal window over my front door. It's snowy outside..but it's framed by a black interior. Not sure how that happened except that I did not use a flash. The black is a nice setting for the photo. I use black for my 8 by 10 photo mattings quite often. It is the most classic framing.
I got a new camera for Christmas this year....a Lumix by Panasonic..an 18x Zoom! I need to download my Christmas photos soon from it...so that is why you haven't seen a lot of christmas photos here...but your patience will be rewarded soon!!!! I've also begun a couple of other blogs for my family which will be private...I'm doing some documentaries of their trips...maybe they will be come more public later....:)

In the meantime, the little moments we share every day are captured in our hearts, minds and cameras...of course!

PS: visit Donna's site..she made this animation...:) http://dsdesignsandotherthings.blogspot.com/

I have a Panasonic Lumix with a 10X zoom! I am envious of yours! Can't wait to see some of your shots with it! Love how you took the picture of the snow scene through your octagon window! Lisa

Love that contrast of the black door against the outside. Perfect. I've been considering a new camera and have seen on blogs a few mentions of the Lumix. I gather you'd recommend it then? Is it good for blogging posts?

Love your pictures Maria. Mother Nature sure gave us some "Kodak Moments" in the last couple weeks. But I'm glad that for now they are over. I'll take green grass as opposed to white, snowy grass any day. Once this weather straightens out a little we still have to make a run to Carl's Jr and Pt Defiance park. Linda

THanks, everyone! Yep, I think the Lumix is going to be a good camera, Cw2..I'm still figuring it out...the ironic thing is that I'm using the software from the Olympus camera to printout indexes and unload and categorize my photos...it gives me more flexibility. I'll have to let you know Joanne, if there is any difference with bloggin posts after awhile of using my new camera. Yes, Linda..I'd forgottn about Carl's Jr and Pt. Defiance Park...let's try to do that soon! I'm actually off between now and January 4..with some free days... Missie, my husband is laughing because I have too many cameras...:) No DSLR's yet...:)

I love the view out your front door! I look forward to photos from your new camera. I got a Nikon Coolpix p80 for Christmas...18x zoom, too. And, oh-h-h do I have alot to learn! It seems much more sensitive than my Kodak Easyshare(6.1 megapixel compared to the 10.1 megapixel Nikon). I'm not expecting miracles right off the bat yet with my photos! Hope you had a great Christmas!!
